“Oh! Rick—You startled me-” June stated as her eyes
turned to look at him, Sitting her glass down on the counter, she tried to
conjure up a smile, which she did, But it felt unnatural to her. “I—I wasn’t
much of a party girl, Though I did go, Just didn’t fit in so well. But I’m sure
you were the life of a party once.” @vexxmexyouxdie
: I liked to party, it wasn’t easy for a man of my stature. West Point, had to only associate with fellow Officer Cadets. Still, had fun.” rick took the drink form her hands and backed down a large portion of the contents, “ you having nightmares? Cause, this won’t help.” It wasn’t always fun when Rick decided to act like an adult.
“Come on rick. You aren’t my dad.” She stated, eyes locked on the drink. “I’m—I’m not having nightmares, I’m just…a little stressed. Plus I can’t sleep.” Lips curled softly into a slight frown. “I just wanted a little. Maybe you can have one with me?” If that made matters better.
“ Old enough to be, already call me ‘Daddy’” Rick scoffed playfully, passing the drink back off to her,” Take it easy Co-ed, we’ll share. but chase it with some grilled cheese sandwiches. I got a sippy cup if you want,
Cheeks flushed at his statement. A smile she couldn’t fight forming on her lips.
Eyes lit up with pure amusement. “Guess you are old enough in that sense then.” Taking the
drink back from him she took a sip, but nearly chocked when he mentioned a sippy-cup,
“Rick! I swear to god—I’m a grown woman I need no sippy cup.” Laughter spilled through
her words. Truly he was the only one person who knew how to make her laugh effortlessly.
